Tour Overview
Between July and October approximately 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle stream northward from the Serengeti into Kenya's Maasai Mara, crossing the crocodile-infested Mara River in one of nature's most dramatic spectacles. This 9-day tour is designed to maximise your chances of witnessing a crossing.
The itinerary begins in Tanzania, tracking the Migration's vanguard through the Serengeti's northern Lamai and Kogatende areas — where the densest crossings at the Grumeti and Mara rivers occur. The journey then crosses into Kenya for the Mara's own fording spectacle at the Kenya side of the Mara River, where thousands of animals plunge through crocodile-filled waters in desperate dashes to greener pastures.
No two Migration safaris are alike. Our guides are in constant radio contact with scouts tracking herd movements, ensuring you are always positioned for the best possible sightings. All park fees for both Tanzania and Kenya, cross-border logistics, and premium camp accommodation are fully included.

Day 1: JRO - Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in the evening, you will meet with your dedicated and Professional Driver Guide whom will transfer you to Arusha for your bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Full game drive Tarangire, Mto wa Mbu and Karatu
After early breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park arriving Serengeti in time for a full day game drive in the park with picnic lunch and later on drive to Mto wa Mbu/ Karatu at your lodge for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: North Serengeti
After early breakfast, drive to Northern Serengeti via Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) with picnic lunch and game drive en-route. Arriving northern Serengeti in time for afternoon game drive in the park and later on drive to your tented camp/lodge for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater/ Karatu
After early breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) arriving in time for a full day crater tour with picnic lunch down into the crater, and later on proceed to Karatu arriving in time at your lodge for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Arusha, Zanzibar and Back home
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha arriving in time for shopping and lunch at Cultural Heritage, then afternnon transfer to Arusha or JRO for your flight to Zanzibar or back home respectively.
