Tour Overview
From late January through mid-March the Ndutu area transforms into one of nature's most extraordinary theatres. Over half a million wildebeest converge on these short-grass plains to give birth, creating a frenzied spectacle of life, death and survival. Cheetah, lion, leopard and hyena hunt constantly; vultures and eagles wheel overhead; and amidst it all, thousands of wobbly-legged calves take their first steps.
This 4-day journey is timed specifically for peak calving season. Your camp sits on the Ndutu Lake shoreline, allowing early departures to catch the morning light before other vehicles arrive. Extended permits allow you to remain in the field through midday — when most tourist vehicles return to camp — maximising your chance of witnessing hunts.
Available January to March only. Private departures can be arranged. Group departures every Tuesday.

Day 1: Arusha - Central Serengeti
Your Driver Guide will pick you up at your hotel early in the morning at 6:00am and drive to central Serengeti via Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), with picnic lunch and game drive en-route. Arriving in time for afternoon game drive while heading to your tented camp for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Ndutu Area
After early breakfast, morning game drive while heading to Ndutu area with picnic lunch and game drive en-route. Arriving in time for afternoon game drive and later on drive to your tented camp for leisure, dinner and overnight.

After early breakfast, morning game drive while heading back to Arusha with picnic lunch and game drive en-route arriving Arusha in time for drop-off at your hotel.
